SC/ST Cell

The two most disadvantaged social groups in Indian society have been determined to be Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Scheduled Castes (SC). They consist of all racial or tribal groups that have historically been behind in terms of society, economy, and education. The purpose of the cell is to assist and integrate students from these communities into the main stream.

In order to empower the SC/ST students enrolled in the college, the SC/ST cell was founded in 2018. The college is particularly interested in helping students from these communities access financial aid from other sources and government organisations. They are also urged to sign up for career orientation courses, which will provide them the tools they need to select a vocation.

The vision is to respond to the social reality that promote and protects the dignity, equality, social justice and human rights for the entire citizen.

MISSION

The mission of SC/ST committee is to promote their academic and psychological well-being for their career enrichment.

OBJECTIVES

• To effectively counsel, mentor, and assist SC/ST students in handling the personal and academic challenges of college life.
• To guarantee that a setting is provided where all of these pupils feel comfortable and protected.
• To offer quick counselling in the event that a campus event causes an emotional emergency.
• To offer a process for SC/ST students to file grievances, if any
• To uphold protection and reservations as stipulated by the Indian Constitution.
• To make arrangements for unique chances to boost the expansion of carriers
• To inform SC/ST students about the different UGC and State government scholarship programmes.
• To implement such corrective actions in order to meet the goals and targets established by the UGC and the Indian government.

ACTIVITIES

• To gather data and reports from the State Government and UGC regarding various elements of education, employment, and SC/ST and OBC student policies.
• Disseminating the State Government's and UGC's decisions about various scholarship programmes.
• To interact with the students and inspire them to make better plans for the future.
